Tomorrow starts the very first day of this two year adventure! A process that I’ve been thinking and praying about for over a year now. As I reflect on what has happened since then I’m simply blown away. It’s hard to even come up with words that accurately describe what a journey it’s been to get here.
The crazy part is… IT’S ACTUALLY HERE!
Today I’m at 89% of my goal for the entire 2 years!
What?!?! I’m insanely humbled and in awe. This means I’ll start the residency tomorrow and am on track for reaching 100% by January 1st 2020!
It’s funny though because sometimes it’s always easier to trust God’s faithfulness in your friend’s lives more than it is your own. And in sharing this with a friend, she responded, “yea, duh, God called you to this, of course He was going to provide.”
Thank you all for the support and prayers you’ve given me over these past months, it’s been so encouraging and affirming in God’s calling of me to this program (even if it takes me longer to see than my friends). This past week I was able to spend some time with family in the Pacific Northwest (my favorite place in the US!). It was so refreshing and the perfect time to simply slow down and detach with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains and the cool breeze that’s rare to feel in Texas. To reflect on how faithful God has been to provide and to enjoy time with those I love. As I head into this next season starting tomorrow, I’m so excited for what God has in store!
Please join me in prayer for these two things:
• Patience as I step into a new role and begin learning a lot of new things
• Expectance for what God will do in me and through me
